Hahnemanns Køkken has for a long time wanted to expand its business. It is a plan that Trine Hahnemann, founder and owner of Hahnemanns Køkken, has contemplated for many years: to offer our food concept not only to guests in canteens and in-house restaurants, but also to the public and an international audience. Trine sells her cookbooks very successfully in many countries in several languages. Her Danish and international readers want a place to visit and to experience Trine Hahnemann’s world of food. This will be possible in the new venue.
The 900m2 space in the Østerbro neighbourhood, that is on its way to become the greenest neighborhood in the city, contains many functionalities: bakery, pastry shop, coffee bar, food shop, cookery school, eat-in, event space. Our customers will be able to buy fresh salads, bread, cakes, grab-and-go meals as well as ready-made food to be heated up at home. We provide good everyday food for lunch and dinner prepared with love and organic ingredients.
The cookery school offers a wide range of courses for local as well as an international food enthusiasts. Trine will be teaching her recipes from her well acclaimed books and many local and international guest chefs and bakers will be visiting and sharing their skills and knowledge. It is also possible to book the school for private dining. For bigger events, we have a dedicated event space, which can hold up to 120 people and can be booked for receptions and functions. The in-house curated event program will include talks on food politics and culture, as well as presentations, supper clubs and pop-up dinners with international chefs.
This project is Trine’s dream come true and represents her views on food: putting a good daily meal for everybody on the agenda, made with love and organic ingredients and seeing the world through food, exchanging ideas and creating a community and a dialogue through food.
