Tour the green kitchen.
More and more people choose to cut down on meat, or wish to include more vegetables in their everyday cooking. Trine will show you around in the green kitchen, and teach you how to cook tasteful everyday food with loads of veggies.
” For a cook it’s very simple: you are never better than your produce. This goes for home cooks as well. So, cooking real food also implies that you have to source responsibly. “
Trine’s core values are not just based on choosing organic produce, but also on sourcing local vegetables in season. Her collaboration with Stensbølgård gives us the opportunity to cook with celery and cabbage, harvested the day before. During this class you will experience, how the short distance from farm to table effects how the food tastes.
What will you learn to make in this class?
You will learn some of the countless ways of using vegetables in your everyday meal. Trine will show you, how to variate and to incorporate lots of flavours in your dishes, and also how to combine greens with herbs and spices from all over the world. Besides from playing with produce, Trine will also share her ideas and perspectives on Nordic food culture. Get inspired and learn how to use your everyday leftovers; the lonely zucchini, the two carrots and that last piece of lemon left in the back of your fridge
Together you will cook soup, whole-baked vegetables with pesto and herbs, veggie fricassee, frittata, and Trine’s latest recipe for veggie “deller”, which are vegetable patties. You will be celebrating spring by cooking with the favourites the month has to offer.
This course will primarily be taught in Danish, but can always also be done in English, if we have people signing up, who do not speak or understand Danish. The class will take 4-5 hours.
In our classes
Upon arrival, we will offer you a cup of tea or coffee, water and some snacks. After some background information and instructions, you will experience the cooking class and learn how to make the recipes yourself. At the end of the class, we will set the table and eat together, a part of what you have cooked. Or you can choose to take all home with you, together with a booklet with all recipes of the class.
